Egyptian giants Al Ahly open contract renewal talks with influential trio

Egyptian giants Al Ahly have decided to renew the contracts of influential trio at the club in an attempt to ward off interest.

Currently, the Egyptian football heavyweight are in talks to tie down Ahmed Nabil Kouka, Ahmed Abdel Qader, and Hussein El Shahat to the club.

The trio have one-year contract left on their deals, with Al Ahly pushing to extend their deals beyond 2026.

Hussein, 33, who has emerged as a transfer target for Libyan side Al Ittihad. However will likely continue his trade with Al Ahly. The Egyptian giants intends to reward him a new deal following Ahmed Mostafa Zizo’s recent injury.

Meanwhile, contract extensions for Imam Ashour and Marawan Attia are closed until the end of the year.

Al-Ahly is preparing to face Ceramica Cleopatra, scheduled for Friday, in the seventh round of the Egyptian Premier League.
