The brilliance of Egyptian footballers continues to dazzle across various European football leagues, as they showcase their skills alongside some of the world’s top clubs.
Mohamed Salah returned to the spotlight with Liverpool after recovering from a recent injury, while Omar Marmoush displayed his talent with Eintracht Frankfurt.
Here’s a closer look at the noteworthy performances of Egyptian professionals in European leagues:
Mohamed Salah
Salah made a significant impact in Liverpool’s 4-1 victory over Brentford in the 25th round of the English Premier League.
Coming on as a substitute as part of his complete recovery process from a knee injury sustained during the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, Salah provided an assist for Alexis Mac Allister’s goal and scored the third goal himself from a pass by Cody Gakpo.
Mahmoud Hassan “Trezeguet”
In contrast to Salah’s cameo appearance, Trezeguet started for Trabzonspor against Genclerbirligi in the Turkish league.
He scored the opening goal for Trabzonspor but was substituted for Nicolas Pépé in the 82nd minute in a match that ended in a draw.
Omar Marmoush
Eintracht Frankfurt’s coach included Egyptian international Omar Marmoush in the starting lineup against Freiburg in the 22nd round of the German league.
Marmoush scored the team’s first goal and provided assists for two more goals, contributing significantly to the 3-3 draw.
