Khaled El-Drendi, the Vice President of the Egyptian Football Federation, has confirmed the disbursement of all bonuses allocated to the national team players in a bid to create significant motivation ahead of the upcoming 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, scheduled to take place in Ivory Coast.
El-Drendi revealed on DMC channel, “We have disbursed all the previous bonuses for the players and provided them with all the resources and support to create a strong incentive.”
He concluded his statement, saying, “We issued a special regulation before the start of the 2024 Africa Cup of Nations, and all the players appreciated it.
We spared no effort for them.”
The Egyptian national team continues its preparations for the 2024 Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast, securing a 2-0 victory against Tanzania in a friendly match held at Cairo International Stadium.
The squad is set to travel to Ivory Coast tomorrow, on Tuesday, to participate in the Africa Cup of Nations.
Egypt’s win against Tanzania saw Mahmoud Hassan “Trezeguet” and a penalty from Mohamed Salah contributing to the victory.
Egypt is placed in Group B of the tournament alongside Mozambique, Ghana, and Cape Verde.
The opening match for the Egyptian national team is scheduled for Sunday, January 14, against Mozambique in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
