Ihab El-Komy, a member of the Egyptian Football Federation’s board, unveiled surprises regarding negotiations for a successor to coach Vitoria.
El-Komy revealed that the highly-regarded French coach Hervé Renard is a prominent figure being seriously considered for the role, expressing enthusiasm for the prospect.
During a phone interview on “Al-Match” program on “Sada El-Balad” channel with presenter Hani Hathout, El-Komy further disclosed that the name of Sebastian Desabre, the head coach of the Democratic Republic of Congo national team, is also in the mix for the coaching position of the Egyptian national team.
El-Komy emphasized that the possibility of having only a team manager for the Egyptian national team in the near future is being contemplated.
He acknowledged that Sayed Abdel-Hafeez is a prominent figure with significant experience, but no specific names have been proposed for the role of team manager.
As the negotiations unfold, the Egyptian Football Federation is meticulously weighing its options to ensure the national team’s leadership transition is seamless, aiming for continued success on the international stage.
