Egyptian Football Association to hold FIFA TMS workshop for top-flight clubs

The Egyptian Football Association will host a specialist workshop organised by FIFA on the TMS international player transfer system on 27 and 28 October 2026.

TMS officials from first-division clubs will take part in the event at the National Teams Centre in Sixth of October City. The workshop is intended to improve their ability to use the platform and develop their experience in managing transfer procedures.

Egyptian Football Association secretary general Mustafa Azzam said the programme would focus on increasing understanding of the international transfer system and raising the efficiency of staff working for both the association and clubs.

“The workshop aims to enhance awareness of the international transfer system, improve the capabilities of employees at the association and clubs, and familiarise them with the latest procedures and practices related to international player transfers,” Azzam said.

“This will ensure the accuracy of data and compliance with FIFA regulations.”

The association said the workshop was part of efforts to develop the skills of people working across the football industry, support digital transformation and improve the player registration and transfer process in line with international standards.

It also confirmed that it would meet the costs of organising the workshop and hosting FIFA’s lecturers.

TMS, described as an abbreviation for Transportation Management System, is a mandatory electronic platform launched by FIFA to register and monitor player transfers between clubs, particularly international moves.

For a transfer to be processed, the two clubs involved must enter the player’s details into the system and match the information electronically. The process allows the transfer certificate between the clubs to be issued.
