The Egyptian Football Association has scheduled a hearing next week to address Al Ahly’s appeal over their push to replay the league match against Zamalek, originally set for March 11th in the local league.

The Red Castle had boycotted the game, citing the absence of foreign referees, a decision that initially saw them handed a 3-0 loss and a three-point deduction. That penalty was later reversed, sparking further debate.

The defending league champions lodged a formal grievance with the Egyptian Football Association’s Appeals Committee, urging them to scrap the Professional Clubs Association’s ruling and its fallout. An insider from Al Ahly told Kooora that the club is gearing up for the hearing, assembling a legal team and a detailed dossier to argue their case.

Meanwhile, the Red Devils got back to business on Tuesday, edging out Sudan’s Al Hilal 1-0 in the CAF Champions League quarterfinal first leg. All ears now turn to next week’s hearing, as Al-Ahly fights to rewrite the script on their domestic season.
