The Egyptian Football Association’s board of directors, led by Jamal Allam, honored the Egyptian referees who participated in managing matches during the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, hosted by Ivory Coast.
Seven Egyptian referees were involved in officiating matches in the continental tournament:

– Mohamed Adel
– Mohamed Marouf
– Assistant Referees:
– Mahmoud Aboul Ragel
– Ahmed Hossam Taha
– VAR:
– Mahmoud Ashour
– Mahmoud El Banna
The Football Association also recognized Mohamed El-Mashtaha, its legal advisor, for his selection as a disciplinary committee member for the African Nations Championship.
Additionally, recognition was extended to Farid Sultan, an employee of the Football Association, for his appointment to the technical analysis and performance committee for referees, and Mahmoud Saad, responsible for match permits.
Allam, the president of the Football Association, expressed his satisfaction with the outstanding performance of the Egyptian referees in the Africa Cup of Nations, overseeing several crucial matches.
He reiterated the full support of the board of directors for the referees and committees in all matters concerning them, emphasizing their development and appearance in major international arenas.
Khaled El-Darandaly, the vice president of the Football Association, also affirmed the board’s high confidence in the referees and praised their distinguished performance during the tournament.
He urged them to maintain the same level of performance in all international and domestic competitions.
