The Egyptian Professional Clubs Association has announced sanctions ahead of the semi-final rounds of the League Cup, in accordance with the penalties outlined in the competition regulations for the 2023-2024 season.

The sanctions have been imposed as follows:

1. A fine of EGP 20,000 has been levied against the head coach of Al Ittihad Alexandria for his failure to attend the press conference.

2. Ahmed Hani Hussaini Ibrahim, a player from the Ceramica Cleopatra team, has been suspended due to his dismissal after preventing a clear opportunity.

These measures come as part of the association’s efforts to uphold discipline and adherence to regulations within the Egyptian footballing community.

Such sanctions serve as a reminder of the importance of maintaining professionalism both on and off the pitch.

The fine imposed on the coach of Al Ittihad Alexandria underscores the significance placed on attendance at official events such as press conferences.

By imposing financial penalties, the association aims to ensure that coaches fulfill their obligations to engage with the media, fostering transparency and accountability within the sport.

Similarly, the suspension of Ahmed Hani Hussaini Ibrahim highlights the consequences of on-field misconduct.
