Ahmed Farouk, the Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, highlighted the depth of the historical and fraternal relationship between the two countries, affirming that the Egyptian Cup final garners attention from both the Egyptian and Saudi audiences.
In televised statements, Ahmed Farouk expressed gratitude to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for hosting the event, also extending thanks to the Egyptian authorities for facilitating such an occasion.
“The Saudi-Egyptian relations transcend traditional diplomatic ties; they are historical fraternal relations,” Farouk emphasized, pointing out the significant Egyptian community in the Kingdom, alongside over 1.2 million Saudis with permanent residency in Egypt.
Moreover, Farouk noted, “The match’s appeal extends beyond Egyptians; even Saudis, some of whom support Ahly and Zamalek, and Egyptians who back Al Hilal, Al Nassr, and Al Ittihad, show interest.”
He concluded, “The match will attract significant attention from both Egyptian and Saudi audiences, as evidenced by the swift sale of tickets upon release and the filling of public spaces during matches involving Ahly and Zamalek.”
