The president of the Egyptian Football Association, Hani Abu Rida, has confirmed that the Pharaohs will face Brazil as part of their preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
“We will play against Brazil and another team in America before the World Cup,” he confirmed.
Egypt is already scheduled to play friendly matches against Saudi Arabia and Spain in Qatar next March, marking the national team’s first training camp since the conclusion of the Africa Cup of Nations.
The Pharaohs will also take part in another international break in June ahead of the tournament.
Egypt has been drawn into Group G for the 2026 World Cup, where they will compete against Belgium, Iran, and New Zealand.
The World Cup is set to kick off on June 11 and will run until July 19, with matches hosted across the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
