Minya Governorate witnesses the conclusion of the second division league matches for the Upper Egypt football clubs today, featuring four teams keen on securing wins as they wrap up the first round of the 2023-2024 season.
A total of nine matches are scheduled, including five in Group 1 and four in Group 2. Notable fixtures include Beni Mazar facing Tameya Youth Center in the Fayoum, with the match taking place at the Mitaay Youth Center.
Additionally, Maghagha Youth will play against Alwasity at Alwasity Club’s grounds, while Mallawi Club clashes with Qos at Qos Club’s stadium.
On Saturday, Minya Club is set to face Beni Suef Telephones at Tersana Club’s field.
The three teams – Beni Mazar, Mallawi Club, and Maghagha Youth – approach these matches under new coaching staff, aiming to secure favorable positions and remain in the second division.
The decision to bring in fresh coaching talent follows the resignation of the previous coaching teams due to difficulties in achieving desired results.
Minya Club, led by their new head coach Captain Barakat Ibrahim, is eager to secure a victory against Beni Suef Telephones.
Captain Alaa Nabil, also known as “Rambo,” had previously resigned after expressing regret for not continuing to coach the team following a 3-3 draw with Fayoum at the Minya University Stadium.
