Amina Orfi and Hania El Hammamy will meet in the women’s final of the Egypt Open after both players won their semi-final matches.
Orfi defeated Palm Hills player Nouran Gohar 3-1 in a contest lasting 71 minutes.
El Hammamy, who represents Wadi Degla, needed five games to overcome Sivasangari Subramaniam, winning 3-2 after an 86-minute match.
The women’s final is due to take place next Friday.
In the men’s competition, Palm Hills player Mostafa Asal reached the final with a straight-games victory over Karim Jawad.
Asal won 3-0 and will face the winner of the other semi-final between New Zealand’s Paul Coll and Peru’s Diego Elias.
The Egypt Open is being held from 6 to 16 October, with total prize money of $750,000 across the men’s and women’s events.
Asal won the men’s title at last year’s tournament, while El Hammamy claimed the women’s championship.
Egyptian players have dominated the competition since it returned in 2016.
