Egypt’s national football team initiated their training camp, preparing for the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) 2023 in Côte d’Ivoire, with their first session at the Cairo Stadium.
The training session witnessed the participation of all players, eagerly awaiting the arrival of Liverpool star Mohamed Salah.
The Egyptian team conducted their training at the Egypt Stadium within the Olympic City of the New Administrative Capital.
During the session, goalkeepers Mohamed El-Shenawy, Ahmed El-Shenawy, and Osama Jalal underwent rehabilitative exercises under the supervision of Mohamed Abu El-Ela, the team’s physician.
The national team’s camp is stationed in the New Administrative Capital, featuring a friendly match against Tanzania on January 7.
Following this, Egypt will embark on their journey to Côte d’Ivoire on January 9 to compete in the tournament, commencing on January 13.
Medical examinations await the remaining players and professionals upon their integration into the national team, ensuring their fitness for the AFCON challenge.
