In the coming days, Egypt is set to host a significant international conference aimed at advancing sports worldwide in the upcoming era.
Chaired by Mohamed Fadel, former member of the Football Association, the conference titled “Football Access Summit” is scheduled to take place at Zed Park on February 16th and 17th, with the presence of Dr. Ashraf Sobhy, Minister of Youth and Sports.
With over 70 speakers representing organizations such as FIFA, CAF, La Liga, Serie A, NBA, as well as delegates from Arab, European, and local sports associations and clubs, the conference aims to facilitate the exchange of expertise on the latest systems and technologies to enhance the growth of the sports industry globally.
This initiative underscores Egypt’s commitment to supporting and nurturing the skills of youth interested in the field of sports, reflecting its unique ability to host international sports and artistic events at a global level, as demonstrated by Zed Park and Zed Sheikh Zayed Stadium Complex.
Commenting on this initiative, Mohamed Fadel, the conference president, stated, “Sports have become a vital sector and a strategic resource for many countries, and we have the opportunity to effectively harness this sector in Egypt.”
He added, “We recognize the importance of bolstering this industry by providing opportunities for outstanding Egyptian talents.
To this end, the idea came to me to attract prominent and influential sports figures and personalities to benefit from their valuable expertise.”
“Our primary goal is to develop sports in general to achieve progress that contributes to elevating Egypt’s status in this field.
We aim to do this by utilizing all possible means and discussing extensively the measures and future plans to improve sports conditions,” he emphasized.
The conference organizers have appointed Engineer Hani Abourida, a member of FIFA’s Council and the Executive Committee of CAF, as the honorary president of the conference.
Expressing his delight at participating in this event, Abourida stated, “I am very pleased to present this initiative, where I have extended invitations to prominent international sports figures to participate in the conference.”
“Our goal is to provide an ideal platform for these outstanding sports experts to share their experiences and insights with individuals interested and committed to developing football and its industry in general,” he continued.
“We are confident that the presence of these prominent figures will significantly enrich the sports content and inspire those interested in the field of football.
This effort reflects our commitment to enhancing cultural exchange and fostering international cooperation in the field of sports,” Abourida concluded.
