Egyptian centre-back Ahmed Ayman Mansour has joined Libyan Premier League club Darnes SC from El Masry on a free transfer.

The 32-year-old has signed a contract running until 30 June 2027 after leaving the Egyptian Premier League side. Mansour, who is left-footed and stands 1.78m tall, becomes part of Darnes’ squad for the 2026-27 season.

Mansour arrives in Libya with extensive domestic experience, having made 187 Premier League appearances during his career. He has scored eight goals and provided seven assists in those matches, while also featuring in the CAF Confederation Cup, Egypt Cup and Egyptian League Cup.

He was part of the El Masry side that won the Egyptian League Cup in the 2025-26 season. The defender originally returned to El Masry in August 2023, joining from Zamalek on a free transfer after spells with Pyramids FC, Talaea El Gaish and El Dakhlia.

Mansour’s move to Darnes marks his first recorded transfer outside Egypt. He had also spent time on loan at Modern Sport during the 2024-25 campaign before returning to El Masry at the end of that season.

His career includes a total of 32 CAF Confederation Cup appearances, along with 17 Egypt Cup matches and 14 appearances in the Egyptian League Cup. He also played in both relegation and championship play-offs during his domestic career.

Darnes SC have now secured Mansour’s services without a transfer fee, with the Egyptian defender’s contract confirmed through June 2027.
