Effat Nssar rejects Egyptian referee for Al Ahly vs. Zamalek match

168

Former Zamalek star Effat Nssar has voiced his refusal to assign an Egyptian referee to officiate the anticipated match between Al Ahly and Zamalek, emphasizing concerns about potential bias and advocating for the appointment of a foreign official.

In a recent television interview, Nssar underscored the need for impartial officiating, expressing skepticism about the reliability of Egyptian referees, particularly in high-stakes encounters such as the upcoming Egyptian Cup final between the arch-rivals.

Nssar’s remarks come amid heightened tensions ahead of the highly-anticipated clash between Egypt’s two football giants. He cited instances of what he perceived as favorable treatment toward Al Ahly, referencing previous tournaments where he believes the Red Devils benefited from referee decisions.

The former Zamalek player highlighted the importance of fair play and impartial refereeing in maintaining the integrity of the game. Nssar’s comments reflect wider sentiments within the Zamalek fanbase, where there is growing frustration over perceived injustices in officiating.

Nssar also shared his insights on player performance, praising Zamalek’s recent acquisitions while expressing optimism about the potential contributions of certain players to the team’s future success. He singled out Ahmed Hamdi and Nasser Maher as standout signings while expressing confidence in the abilities of Abdullah El-Said to deliver strong performances.
