Eduardo Camavinga steps up recovery with FIFA Club World Cup in sight

Eduardo Camavinga is picking up pace in his comeback, returning to light individual training as he eyes a spot in Real Madrid’s Club World Cup squad.

The French midfielder was seen running drills alone at the club’s Valdebebas facility, marking the first signs of progress since his hamstring injury in April.

Camavinga hasn’t played since that setback, which sidelined him during a tough stretch of the season. Real Madrid, plagued by injuries to key players, ended the campaign empty-handed, an outcome they will be eager to avoid under new head coach Xabi Alonso.

The Club World Cup could be Camavinga’s chance to start fresh and impress the incoming manager, who will be keen to have a full squad at his disposal for the international tournament.

Marca reports that the 22-year-old is pushing to regain full fitness in time, with Madrid’s staff carefully managing his recovery. If all goes well, Camavinga could return just as Real Madrid begin their new chapter with Alonso at the helm.
