Eddy Kouadio: Monza linked with move for Fiorentina defender
Italy and Cote dIvoire centre-back Eddy Kouadio of Fiorentina has been linked with a move to Serie A rivals Monza.
The 20-year-old, who is valued at 2.5m, is emerging as a potential defensive target after breaking into Fiorentinas first-team squad following a rapid rise through the clubs youth ranks. There is no indication that an agreement is in place between the clubs.
Kouadio, born in Prato and standing at 1.91m, is a right-footed central defender who has progressed from Fiorentinas youth sides to the Primavera team and then the senior squad. He was officially promoted to the first team ahead of the 2025-26 season.
His value has increased significantly over the past year, climbing from 275,000 at Fiorentina Primavera to 2.5m at Fiorentina, underlining his status as one of the clubs more highly rated young defenders. He wears number 60 for the first team.
Kouadio has spent his entire career to date within the Fiorentina system, moving from the youth side to the Under-17s in 2022, then to the Primavera in 2023 before stepping up to the senior squad. He is currently listed with Fiorentina as his national team affiliation.
Contract details have not been made public, and the level of interest from Monza has been reported without a defined likelihood of completion. For now, Kouadio remains a Fiorentina player with Monza monitoring his situation.
