Dynamo Dresden weigh move for Paderborn forward Kennedy Okpala
German-Nigerian forward Kennedy Okpala is the subject of a rumoured move from SC Paderborn to Dynamo Dresden, with the 21-year-old linked with a switch to the 2. Bundesliga.
The proposed transfer has been given a 97% probability. Okpala joined Paderborn from SV Waldhof Mannheim in January 2026 in a deal reported at €550,000, and his market value is currently listed at €1.5m.
The centre-forward has yet to make an appearance for Paderborn in the 2026-27 Bundesliga campaign. He has also not featured in the DFB-Pokal this season, with one match having been played in each competition.
Okpala began his senior career at Waldhof Mannheim after progressing through the club’s youth system. He won the Baden Cup with Mannheim during the 2025-26 season before moving to Paderborn.
The potential transfer would see Okpala move from Germany’s top flight to Dynamo Dresden, who compete in the second tier. No contract expiry date has been listed for the forward, who remains a Paderborn player while the rumour develops.
