DR Congolese football administrator Bestine Kazadi Ditabala has been appointed fourth vice president of the Confederation of African Football (CAF).
The announcement was made during a CAF Executive Committee meeting held in Accra on Saturday.
Kazadi’s elevation to this senior role marks a significant milestone, as she becomes one of the highest-ranking women in CAF’s leadership.
A seasoned lawyer and former president of AS Vita Club in Kinshasa, she has been instrumental in promoting women’s football and advocating for greater inclusivity within the sport.
In her new capacity, Kazadi is expected to focus on the development and promotion of women’s football across the continent.
Her appointment reflects CAF’s commitment to gender equality and the empowerment of women in football governance.
Kazadi’s extensive experience in both legal and sports administration positions her well to contribute meaningfully to CAF’s strategic objectives.
Her leadership is anticipated to bring fresh perspectives and drive initiatives aimed at enhancing the visibility and competitiveness of women’s football in Africa.
She joins Morocco’s Fouzi Lekjaa (first vice president), Ghana’s Kurt Okraku (second vice president), Gabon’s Pierre-Alain Mounguengui (third vice president), and Mozambique’s Feizal Sidat (fifth vice president).
Kazadi joins a diverse leadership team under CAF President Patrice Motsepe, reflecting the organization’s dedication to inclusive representation and collaborative governance.
