German club, Borussia Dortmund’ have put plans in motion to extend the stay of Austrian midfielder of Nigerian descent, Carney Chukwuemeka.
The Yellow and Black outfit signed the youngster from Chelsea on loan in the winter transfer window for the rest of the season.
Due to injury setbacks, Carney Chukwuemeka has not had the chance to play many games.
However, in the few matches he has played, the youngster has impressed and proven his worth.
With the club satisfied with his performances, there is a willingness to retain the services of Carney Chukwuemeka.
According to information gathered in the last 24 hours, Dortmund have scheduled talks with Chelsea, hoping to agree on a deal to keep the Nigerian beyond the agreed time.
Further checks have revealed that although Dortmund want to sign the youngster on a permanent deal, initial talks with centre around keeping him for another loan spell, possibly for a period of one year.
Subsequently, the club will want to trigger a purchase option to secure his permanent signing.
