Borussia Dortmund will go into the transfer market to sign a new striker for the 2025/26 football season.
The German Bundesliga club plans to sign a younger forward to play as a backup for highly-rated Guinean striker Serhou Guirassy.
Serhou Guirassy, 29, has an exit clause in his contract with Borussia Dortmund, which is worth around 70 million euros
According to several reports, the Guinean sensation is a transfer target of multiple clubs in Europe.
Although Dortmund are aware there is the possibility of losing the attacker in the summer transfer window, the club is confident it can retain his services.
As a result, the club is preparing for the next football season with Serhou Guirassy as the main striker.
However, the club acknowledges that Serhou Guirassy will need some help and has decided to sign a younger forward to play as his backup.
Dortmund scouts have been tasked to identify the top youngsters in that position and submit a report before the end of the season.
