Borussia Dortmund are still interested in signing France-born forward of Algerian descent Rayan Cherki.

The German Bundesliga club has long been linked with a move to sign the Olympique Lyon sensation, but is yet to make any breakthrough.

Ahead of the summer transfer window, Dortmund want to try again in their pursuit to sign the attacker.

The club must, however, raise money, possibly through player sales to fund the signing of Rayan Cherki.

Meanwhile, Cherki has hinted that he could be leaving Dortmund at the end of the 2024/25 football season.

Although the versatile forward insists that he is committed to giving his best for the Ligue 1 club, he has hinted that he may be on his way out.

Speaking ahead of Lyon’s final Ligue 1 match against Angers this weekend, Cherki said he does not know if the game will be his last for the club or not.

“I don’t know if it will be my last game (for Lyon, against SCO Angers on Saturday). I know that I have given everything for my club, that I’ve done everything possible for OL, because it is a club that I will never forget and that will forever be in my heart. I stayed when lots of players left, and I have no regrets. Whatever happens, I will give everything until the last minute at this club,” the Algerian talent said.

The likes of Manchester United and Manchester City are all interested in signing Cherki.
