Borussia Dortmund manager Niko Kovac has opened up about the future of Ivorian striker Sebastien Haller ahead of the 2025/26 football season.
According to him, the future of the experienced forward will be decided in the coming weeks before the start of the new campaign.
“I know Seb. We brought him to Frankfurt back then. We won the cup together. A great boy, a great person. He’s only been with us for three days. He still needs time to get used to our routines. But you can already see that he’s very strong with his back to goal. We’ll see what happens in the coming weeks and days,” Niko Kovac said after Dortmund defeated Sportfreunde Siegen 8-1.
Although there is the possibility that Sebastien Haller will stay at Dortmund for next season, Dortmund’s plan is to transfer the attacker permanently.
If he stays. He would enter the final year of his contract at Dortmund, making him eligible to leave on a free transfer in the summer of 2026.
