Borussia Dortmund are considering other targets as alternative options amid their pursuit of Algerian forward Rayan Cherki.
As reported by Africasoccer this week, the German Bundesliga outfit has made Rayan Cherki a priority target ahead of the summer transfer window.
The Black and Yellow outfit has long been linked with a move to sign the talented playmaker.
Last summer, Dortmund were linked with a move to sign Rayan Cherki, but no official contact was made.
However, in the winter transfer window, the Germans contacted Olympique Lyon over a potential move to sign the midfielder.
At the time, Lyon were struggling and decided not to listen to the offer from Dortmund because they needed the player to stay and help get the team out of its difficulty.
According to information gathered from sources, Borussia Dortmund have not moved on and still want to sign Rayan Cherki.
The club is now reportedly preparing a bid to be presented to Olympique Lyon in the summer transfer window in hopes of finally securing the services of the highly-rated Algerian youngster.
In the event that Dortmund fail to sign Rayan Cherki, the club will try to sign Sverre Nypan from Rosenborg. Another target that the club will consider is Sebastian Nanasi of Strasbourg.
