Dortmund could demand €50m-€70m for German-Nigerian midfielder Felix Nmecha
Germany-born midfielder of Nigerian descent, Felix Nmecha, has emerged as one of the most important players for Borussia Dortmund during the 2025/26 season, with the midfielder cementing his place as a regular starter in the team.
The 24-year-old’s impressive performances have begun attracting attention from several top European clubs. Recent reports indicate that Manchester City have already made contact with the player’s representatives as they monitor his situation.
Italian transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio has now provided insight into Dortmund’s valuation of the midfielder. Speaking to wettfreunde.net, Di Marzio suggested that any club hoping to sign Nmecha will have to meet a substantial asking price.
According to him, clubs such as AS Roma and Juventus have shown interest in the Dortmund star. However, he explained that negotiating with the German side is never straightforward.
“Nmecha is a good player. Roma likes him. Juventus also liked him a lot. But if you go to Dortmund to ask about the price, they say 50 to 70 million euros, so it’s really difficult to buy players from BVB,” Di Marzio said.
He added that Manchester United could also attempt to enter the race for the midfielder if they decide to explore a potential move.
“I think he’ll cost between 50 and 70 million euros, because that’s how Dortmund is. All these young and talented players start at 50 to 80 million euros. It depends on the bonuses, but the minimum will be 50 million euros,” the transfer expert added.
Nmecha’s growing influence at Dortmund and the club’s reputation for commanding high transfer fees for their young talents suggest that any potential suitor will have to make a significant financial commitment to secure his services.
