Dominic Solanke urges Tottenham to find consistency ahead of Nottingham Forest clash
Tottenham Hotspur striker Dominic Solanke has called on his teammates to maintain consistent performances as they prepare to face Nottingham Forest in the Premier League.
Solanke, who has Nigerian heritage, emphasized the importance of building on their recent success in European competition.
Reflecting on their Europa League victory over Eintracht Frankfurt, where he scored the decisive penalty, Solanke stated: “On our day we’re good enough to beat anyone.
“It’s just about doing that, really.” He acknowledged the team’s need for greater consistency, adding: “We all know we need to be more consistent from game to game.”
Solanke’s goal against Frankfurt ended a 12-game scoring drought and propelled Spurs into the Europa League semi-finals, marking their first appearance at this stage since 2019.
The striker’s composed finish from the penalty spot was a pivotal moment in Tottenham’s season, providing a much-needed boost amid their domestic challenges.
Looking ahead, Solanke expressed the team’s ambition to continue their strong performances in both European and domestic competitions.
“We’re not far off it now so hopefully we can keep producing these performances in Europe and the Premier League throughout the rest of the campaign and kick on,” he said.
