The socio-political situation in Ukraine remains tense, causing distress among players, particularly foreign ones like Dieumerci Mbokani of Dynamo Kyiv. The Congolese international striker is reportedly contemplating leaving Ukraine, considering the unrest. Mbokani, formerly of Anderlecht, is said to be weighing his options at the end of the season. However, he has clarified that while he dreams of ending his career at Anderlecht someday, he is not currently considering a return to the Belgian league where he made his name.
“In the future, I would like to finish my career at Anderlecht, but right now, I’m not thinking about returning to Belgium,” Mbokani stated in Het Nieuwsblad. He also addressed rumors linking him to FC Bruges during the winter transfer window, clarifying that there had been no contact with Michel Preud’homme. Additionally, he expressed his hope for Anderlecht to secure the league title, indicating his continued interest in the club’s success.
