Diego Simeone, the Argentine coach of Atletico Madrid, has reportedly urged the club’s management to pursue the signing of Moroccan international Bilal El Khnous from Belgian side Genk during the ongoing winter transfer window.

The same source indicates that Atletico Madrid faces strong competition from several clubs interested in acquiring El Khnous, with Italian side AS Roma and French club Marseille being notable contenders.
Mehdi Benatia, the sporting advisor at Marseille, reportedly proposed El Khnous to the club’s management for a potential transfer in the upcoming winter market.
