During a press conference following Togo’s 2-1 victory against DR Congo in the 6th and final day of the qualifiers for the 2014 World Cup, coach Didier Six revealed that he has decided to put his position as the coach of the Togo national team on hold.
He addressed the ongoing uncertainty about his future, stating, “I read in the press that after this match against Libya, I am no longer the coach of Togo. It has been written and it has been said. I came to this match, and in August, I was given the certainty that certain things will be resolved. But today they are not resolved. It’s part of African life, I think so far it’s a question mark, but for the moment, I feel free.”
Six’s decision appears to be influenced by unresolved matters, and the uncertainty surrounding his coaching role highlights the challenges often faced in African football.
