Diambars, Wallydan, and Linguère secure round of 16 spots in League Cup

Diambars, Wallydan, and Linguère have advanced to the round of 16 in the Senegalese League Cup following Thursday’s fifth-round matches.

The trio secured their places in the knockout stage, while other teams continue to battle for qualification.

Linguère and Wallydan progress from Group D

Group D’s qualification race came to a close as Linguère and Wallydan confirmed their progression.

Linguère secured a goalless draw against Thiès FC, while Wallydan clinched a decisive 4-2 victory over Ndiambour.

With both teams accumulating eight points from their group-stage matches, they comfortably secured the two available spots in the next round.

Ndiambour and Thiès FC, both finishing with just two points, were eliminated from the competition.

AS Pikine keeps qualification hopes alive

In Group H, AS Pikine boosted its chances of reaching the round of 16 with a crucial 1-0 victory over Teungueth FC.

The result moves AS Pikine into second place with seven points, just one behind group leaders Teungueth FC.

With the final round of matches approaching, the battle for qualification in Group H remains open, as teams vie for a spot in the knockout stage.
