Debrecen weigh move for SC Bastia midfielder Jocelyn Janneh
Jocelyn Janneh, a Guinea and Sierra Leone midfielder at SC Bastia, has been linked with a move to Hungarian NB I side Debrecen.
The 23-year-old defensive midfielder is under contract with Bastia until 30 June 2027, meaning any transfer would require an agreement between the clubs. No fee or probability has been attached to the reported interest.
Janneh has made two appearances in Ligue 3 this season, playing 83 minutes without scoring or providing an assist. He has started one of Bastia’s four possible league matches and has not received a card.
The Freetown-born player joined SC Bastia from Kayserispor on 23 July 2022 in a free transfer. He had moved to the Turkish club from MC Marrakech earlier that year, but has spent the subsequent period with Bastia.
Janneh’s current market value is listed at €800,000, while his highest recorded valuation has been €1.5m. He is right-footed and stands 1.84m tall.
Debrecen play in Hungary’s top division, while Bastia compete in France’s Ligue 3. The reported move would therefore represent a change of country and league for Janneh, whose present contract with SC Bastia remains in place through the end of the 2026-27 season.
