David N’Gog, currently under contract with Bolton until June 2014, is eager to explore new opportunities away from the Championship (English D2), where Bolton has been relegated. The Franco-Cameroonian striker is reportedly seeking a move and is open to a return to Ligue 1. Bordeaux has reportedly expressed interest in the former PSG center forward, according to reports from L’Equipe and Today in France.
At 24 years old, N’Gog has conveyed his openness to a return to France, stating to Skysports, “I have a contract until 2014 with Bolton. If there is an opportunity for them and for me, it will be fantastic. Coming back to France and Ligue 1 could be fantastic for me and my career. I’ve enjoyed my time in England so far, I’ve progressed, I can play at the highest level.” This suggests that a move to Bordeaux might be an appealing prospect for the player.
