Daniel Opare, whose contract with Standard Liège is set to expire in June, has expressed his desire to explore new opportunities. Having joined Les Rouches in 2010 from Real Madrid, the Ghanaian international is open to the possibility of returning to the Spanish capital.
In an interview with ghanaweb.com, Opare revealed his willingness to entertain the idea of a return to Real Madrid. He indicated that the club still holds sway over his contract, implying that if they express interest in his return, he would consider it seriously.
“They (Real Madrid) still have influence over my contract. So if they express interest in bringing me back, I cannot disregard it. If they have made room for me to return and play, then it’s an opportunity I would welcome,” Opare stated.
For Opare, a return to Real Madrid remains an enticing prospect, reflecting his aspirations to compete at the highest level and possibly reunite with his former club.
