Dan Ndoye questions Nottingham Forest future after Switzerland boost
Dan Ndoye admits he is rethinking his situation at Nottingham Forest after a standout performance for Switzerland handed him “new confidence” and renewed belief in his abilities.
The 25-year-old scored the opener in a thrilling 4-3 friendly defeat to Germany, reminding everyone and himself of his attacking threat.
“I don’t get many minutes at club level, but today I showed I have some quality. I feel great with Switzerland. Why don’t I play for Nottingham Forest? I ask myself that too,” Ndoye said, laying bare his frustration over limited opportunities at the City Ground.
He reflected on the gap between his international highs and club reality, noting “It’s been a while since my first goal against Germany at Euro 2024,” as he savoured the feeling of being decisive on a big stage again. “When I get the chance to play, I always give it my all,” he added.
Ndoye joined Forest from Bologna for €42m last summer but has struggled to establish himself, registering just two goals and two assists in 34 appearances and not completing a full Premier League match since November.
