Cameroonian midfielder Alexis Mendamo is set to sign a contract with Club Sportif Sfaxien, and he will no longer be available for the new coach of Zamalek Cairo, Helmy Towlan, to include in his playing system. The 26-year-old midfielder, who previously played for the African Club of Tunis, is leaving the Egyptian championship due to the ongoing socio-political unrest.
Mendamo, who joined Zamalek Cairo in January 2012, is expected to finalize the terms of his transfer to Club Sportif Sfaxien in Tunisia. The announcement was made by CSS sports director Naceur Bedoui, who also clarified that the club is not selling players this summer, putting an end to rumors linking Fejani Sassi to Club Africain.
