Crystal Palace have rejected two concrete offers from Liverpool for the acquisition of England international of Ivory Coast descent Marc Guehi.
The Premier League champions are executing an aggressive effort to bolster their defense ahead of the 2025/26 football campaign, with Guehi emerging as a top priority.
However, the Reds, who are keen on recruiting Guehi from the Eagles has seen their advances rebuffed, with their offers falling short of the East London club’s valuation for the centre-back.
Palace are demanding a fee in the region of €55m for Guehi. Despite the interest in his services, the Englishman is not willing to force a move to Liverpool this summer.
Guehi’s contract at Selhurst Park is set to expire next summer, and the 25-year-old will be free to speak to clubs as a free agent in January.
Crystal Palace risk losing the highly rated defender for free next summer as he nears contract expiration.
With both of their initial offers rejected, Liverpool have begun looking at alternative options.
