Crystal Palace, Betis and Nantes among clubs monitoring Moroccan transfer targets

With the summer transfer window approaching its close, five Moroccan-related transfer situations remain unresolved and could develop significantly in the final days of the market.

European clubs are accelerating their efforts to complete their remaining business, with Crystal Palace, West Ham, Southampton, FC Nantes and Real Betis all linked to Moroccan players. The cases involve different sporting ambitions, potential moves and financial obstacles, leaving several outcomes still uncertain.

Crystal Palace consider Ait Boudlal and El Aynaoui

Crystal Palace are looking to the Moroccan market as they seek to strengthen their squad before the summer window shuts.

The Premier League club have identified Abdelhamid Ait Boudlal and Neil El Aynaoui as possible targets. Both Morocco internationals are reportedly attracting Palace’s attention as the English side assesses its final recruitment options.

Neither player is believed to be opposed to the prospect of joining the Premier League and experiencing a new championship. However, the details of any possible negotiations, including the fees involved, have yet to be established.

Crystal Palace will need to move quickly if they are to complete either deal before the deadline.

Louza attracts interest from West Ham and Southampton

Imran Louza continues to draw interest from English clubs, with West Ham and Southampton both considering ways to strengthen their midfield before the transfer market closes.

The Morocco international’s previous experience in England is viewed as a significant advantage by the clubs examining his situation. West Ham, in particular, appears to represent an appealing option because of its sporting project and the possibility of offering Louza an important role.

The midfielder must now weigh up the opportunities available to him as the deadline approaches.

Nantes have yet to make an offer for Essadak

Hossam Essadak remains another Moroccan transfer story to watch after FC Nantes made enquiries about the Union Touarga attacking midfielder.

The French club have sought information about the player’s situation and the conditions Union Touarga would require for a potential departure. So far, those contacts have remained at the information-gathering stage.

Nantes have not submitted an official offer, and the discussions have not progressed to direct negotiations over the terms of a transfer.

Essadak had previously been close to joining Lausanne-Sport, but that move ultimately collapsed. His situation could still change before the market closes, either through renewed interest from Nantes or an approach from another club.

Ziyech faces uncertainty over Wydad salary

Hakim Ziyech’s future is regarded as one of the most sensitive issues of the final days of the window.

According to sources, Wydad’s leadership is putting pressure on the Morocco international to accept a reduction in his monthly salary as the club attempts to gain greater control over its wage bill.

That leaves two possible outcomes. Ziyech could agree to continue with Wydad under revised financial terms, or he could leave in search of a new project before the transfer deadline.

Pellegrini wants Amrabat at Real Betis

Sofyan Amrabat is also at the centre of a major late-window situation, with Real Betis keen to sign the Moroccan midfielder.

Betis manager Manuel Pellegrini is pushing for the transfer and considers Amrabat capable of giving his midfield greater balance and defensive solidity.

However, Pellegrini’s desire to bring in the player is complicated by Fenerbahce’s high financial demands. The Turkish club are not prepared to let Amrabat leave easily, creating a stand-off between Betis’ interest and Fenerbahce’s valuation.

These five cases could all move quickly in the closing days of the window. An official bid, an agreement over financial terms or a change in stance from one of the parties could alter the outcome of any of them before the market shuts.
