CR Belouizdad SUSPEND head coach Sead Ramovic

Algerian top-flight side CR Belouizdad have moved to suspend head coach Sead Ramovic following a dip in domestic form.

The decision comes despite the club’s recent progress on the continental stage, where they secured a place in the CAF Confederation Cup semi-finals.

However, inconsistent performances in the league have raised concerns within the club’s hierarchy.

Belouizdad’s latest setback—a 1-0 defeat to league leaders MC Alger on Wednesday—proved decisive, leaving the team languishing in seventh place on the table.

The former TS Galaxy coach is now expected to be relieved of his duties in the coming days, with the suspension seen as a precursor to his imminent dismissal.

In a statement, the club confirmed that Ramovic has been temporarily relieved of his responsibilities until a final decision is reached next week.

The announcement also revealed heightened intervention from club leadership, with board chairman Badr El-Din Bahloul attending the team’s most recent training session.

During his address to the players, Bahloul stressed the need for greater discipline and accountability within the squad, warning that firm measures would be enforced to restore order and performance standards.

As part of those measures, the club has sanctioned financial penalties affecting all team members, alongside launching administrative accountability procedures involving both medical and backroom staff.

Belouizdad reiterated their commitment to maintaining discipline and upholding internal regulations, insisting that such steps are necessary to protect the club’s stability and long-term ambitions.

Bluzdad Youth Club is also informed that the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Mr. Badr El-Din Bahloul, recorded his presence in the last training session, where he held a meeting with the players, he mentioned the necessity to exercise the spirit of responsibility and discipline within the team, he is sure in this context that the necessary disciplinary measures will be applied in favor of everyone:
