Despite recent successes in the championship, FC Sochaux Montbéliard faced setbacks on Tuesday in the round of 16 of the Coupe de France. Playing against Troyes, Sochaux lost 1-2.
Despite the determined efforts of Algerian player Ryad Boudebouz, Sochaux struggled throughout the game. The first goal came from Bahebeck in the 11th minute, and the second from Faussurier in the 89th minute sealed the fate of Eric Hély’s team. Although Boudebouz managed to reduce the gap with a penalty in the 90th minute, it was a small consolation.
