In PSG’s first official match of 2014, they secured a convincing victory against Brest in the Coupe de France, winning 5-2. Zlatan Ibrahimovic had a stellar performance, scoring twice within the first 15 minutes, and Thiago Motta added another goal. Despite Brest’s attempt to come back with a goal from Benoit Lesoimier, Zlatan netted two more goals before halftime, making the score 4-1. In the second half, Ezequile Lavezzi scored, securing PSG’s lead. Brest managed to score another goal, courtesy of Togolese player Joanthan Ayité, but PSG maintained control until the end.
