It has been announced that Nigerian international Chicoto Mohamed, a versatile central defender, is set to join Coton Sport, a Cameroonian football club. According to the club’s official website, an agreement has been reached with Chicoto Mohamed’s current Tunisian club, AS Marsa, and he is expected to arrive in Garoua, Cameroon, to finalize his contract with Coton Sport.
Chicoto, who has been playing for AS Marsa in Tunisia, gained prominence as a key player for the Niger national team during the last Africa Cup of Nations (CAN). His experience and skills as a central defender make him a valuable addition to Coton Sport.
This move marks Chicoto Mohamed as the second recruit for Coton Sport in the current transfer window, following the signing of his compatriot Issiakou Koudize, who inked a two-year contract with the Cameroonian club. The arrivals of these players are expected to strengthen Coton Sport’s squad for upcoming competitions.
