Congolese forward Nathanaël Mbuku has completed his move to French club Montpellier HSC.
The French Ligue 1 club announced the acquisition of the winger in an official statement on Tuesday, July 8.
“Having played for Reims and Saint-Etienne, the versatile 23-year-old attacking player is on loan with an option to buy. Trained in the Paris region before blossoming in Reims, this attacking midfielder (who can also play as a second striker ) has evolved well since this famous acrobatic overhead kick. Transferred to the German club Augsburg during the summer of 2023, he discovered the Bundesliga there for 6 months before playing a key role in AS Saint-Etienne’s return to Ligue 1 during the second half of the 2023-2024 season (4 goals in 21 matches played).
“Nathanaël also has experience in the Croatian championship with Dinamo Zagreb. He brings his passion, speed and dribbling skills to accelerate the attacks of the Pailladines. He is on loan until the end of the season, with an option to buy. Welcome to our new number 7,” Montpellier said in their statement.
Nathanaël Mbuku is excited about his move to Montpellier HSC and is eager to show his quality for the team in the 2025/26 football season.
