2014–2015 Congo Ligue 1 Season Kicks Off This Weekend
The 2014–2015 season of Congo’s Ligue 1 officially kicks off this Saturday, January 10, 2015. The competition will feature 18 clubs competing in a 34-matchday home-and-away format.
Defending champions AC Léopards enter the new campaign as strong favorites. Other serious contenders include Black Devils, last season’s runners-up, as well as CARA (3rd place in 2013–14) and Étoile du Congo, who are also expected to challenge for the top spots.
The Congolese Football Federation (FECOFOOT) confirmed the schedule following a meeting with representatives of the participating clubs.
