Mohamed Ismail, the director of football at ENPPI Club, has criticized the idea of implementing the Belgian league system in Egypt for the upcoming season.
Speaking on the program “Number 10” on Channel One with presenter Karim Ramzi, Mohamed Ismail stated, “Implementing the Belgian league system in Egypt will create inequality in opportunities and will lead to manipulation of results, especially in the title race where only four teams will compete for the title.
And another four teams have secured their place but will still compete in the championship stage, so how can we ensure that there will be no manipulation in the results?”
He added, “Our league needs surgery, and there is no league where all these postponed matches and problems happen except ours.”
In conclusion, he proposed, “We have a solution, which is to set a schedule for all the clubs to follow.”
