Como have reached an agreement with AC Milan over a €25 million transfer package for defender Malick Thiaw, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.
The deal now depends on the player’s decision and the successful negotiation of personal terms.
Thiaw, who has Senegalese heritage but represents Germany internationally, joined Milan from Schalke 04 in 2022 for a reported €9 million.
Since then, the 23-year-old centre-back has featured 63 times for the Rossoneri and has earned three senior caps for Germany.
His current contract with Milan runs until June 2027.
A move to Como would offer Thiaw the opportunity for regular first-team football, something he lacked during parts of his time at Milan.
Como are keen to secure experienced top-flight players as they prepare to compete and stay afloat in Italy’s elite division.
While the clubs have settled on the transfer fee, the completion of the move hinges on Thiaw’s approval and the successful resolution of personal terms.
No timeline has yet been set, but both clubs are optimistic about reaching a conclusion in the coming days.
The deal forms part of AC Milan’s ongoing defensive overhaul this summer. The club is reportedly open to selling multiple centre-backs as they look to reshape the squad and reallocate funds towards other areas of need.
