Ivory Coast secured their place in the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil by drawing 1-1 against Senegal in the second leg of the African qualifying play-off. With a 3-1 aggregate victory, Ivory Coast booked their ticket to Brazil. Senegal’s hopes were dealt a blow after Sadio Mané was sent off in the 90th minute. The draw means Ivory Coast qualifies for their third consecutive World Cup. The Elephants will be looking to make an impact in Brazil, having faced challenging group-stage exits in the 2006 and 2010 tournaments.
