The presence of Serbian coach Milovan Rajevac at the Ghana vs. Egypt match in Egypt has sparked speculation about his potential return to coaching the Black Stars ahead of the 2014 World Cup. Rajevac, who previously coached Ghana, was seen in the stands during the match, and some have raised questions about his intentions.
George Afriyie, a member of the executive committee of the Ghana Football Association, stated that there is no official connection between the Federation and Rajevac. He suggested that Rajevac might simply be an admirer of Ghanaian football and attended the match as an observer.
Rajevac himself had previously dismissed rumors about a return to coach Ghana, stating in March that he believed Kwesi Appiah, the current coach, was capable of leading the Black Stars to the World Cup. The reasons for Rajevac’s presence at the recent match remain uncertain.
