The Clubs Association has refused to delay the next Egyptian Capital Cup matches between Zamalek and Modern Sport, as well as Al-Masry and Ceramica Cleopatra in the tournament’s fourth group stage round.
An insider from the Egyptian Football Association told Kooora that rescheduling isn’t an option, citing a tight timeline and the urgency to lock in quarter-final dates without dragging out the season.
The association brushed off both formal and informal pleas to shift the games, sticking to the original plan. Zamalek faces Modern Sport this Sunday at Cairo Stadium in Group A, while Al-Masry takes on Ceramica Cleopatra on Saturday in Group B.
In Group A, Petrojet tops the standings with 9 points and a quarter-final spot secured, trailed by El Gouna (4 points), Modern Sport (3 points), Zamalek (1 point), and Smouha (yet to score).
Over in Group B, Al-Bank Al-Ahly leads with 5 points, followed by Ghazl El Mahalla (4 points), Ceramica Cleopatra (3 points), Al Masry (2 points), and ZFC (1 point).
