Club Brugge lead PSV Eindhoven at half-time in Champions League clash

Club Brugge hold a 1-0 lead against PSV Eindhoven at half-time on matchday four of the UEFA Champions League league phase, with Nicolo Tresoldi scoring the only goal of the opening period at the Philips Stadion.

The Club Brugge centre-forward headed home in the 25th minute, rewarding the visitors after a strong spell and giving them the advantage. Tresoldi, who has impressed since the start of the season, once again demonstrated his effectiveness on the European stage.

PSV Eindhoven, backed by their home support, must now find a response after the interval. Peter Bosz’s side will need greater attacking sharpness to avoid a damaging result at home, while Ivan Leko’s Club Brugge will look to protect their lead and continue making use of the space available to extend it.
